Almost Alive returns with ‘Eclipse Within’, the lead single and focus track from the forthcoming album ‘Hypnotica’

New Jersey AI-driven rock project Almost Alive returns with ‘Eclipse Within’, the lead single and focus track from the forthcoming album ‘Hypnotica’ — a bold, immersive step deeper into the project’s expanding sonic universe.

Blending modern rock power with cinematic progressive rock atmospheres, Almost Alive once again pushes the boundaries of what rock can become when human intensity meets machine precision. ‘Eclipse Within’ arrives 21st November 2025 and marks a defining moment in the evolution of Almost Alive: slower, heavier, spiritually charged, and built as a hypnotic ascent into a higher state.

ABOUT THE TRACK — ‘ECLIPSE WITHIN’

Dark, enveloping, and deeply atmospheric, ‘Eclipse Within’ is a slow-burning journey that pulls listeners inward through pulsing rhythms, heavy textures, and hypnotic vocal depth. Inspired by the immersive shadow-worlds of A Perfect Circle, Tool, Chevelle, Deftones, and Nine Inch Nails, the track unfolds with cinematic weight, guiding the listener from stillness into a state of rising intensity.

Created through Almost Alive’s signature fusion of traditional rock performance and AI production tools (including Suno and ChatGPT), the song builds like a ritual — layering thunderous guitars, precision-crafted drums, and a spine-tingling vocal performance.

Speaking about the single, Evan Kanter says:

“The song is about the listener turning into a sound wave. The lyrics are artistic and meant to have a deep progressive rock feel that feels immersive and makes you want to hear it again. I was inspired by bands like Tool, Perfect Circle and Nine Inch Nails to create music in this style, and I personally really like this song.”

ABOUT THE ALBUM — ‘HYPNOTICA’

‘Hypnotica’ expands on the Almost Alive blueprint with a deeper, more cinematic direction — a record built around immersion, emotional weight, and AI-assisted experimentation. It follows the project’s debut ‘Full Blast’, which laid the groundwork for Evan Kanter’s unique approach to hybrid rock production.

“The album, “Hypnotica” was designed to be darker, glitchier, and more cinematic than anything else I’ve released. It’s an album meant to be experienced front-to-back, much like the immersive records I grew up loving from bands like Tool and Nine Inch Nails. When it hits right, it pulls you into a trance, as if you’ve slipped into another time and place. I’ve been looking forward to releasing this one for a long time, and I’m excited that it’s finally ready to be heard.”

Across the new album, listeners can expect a fusion of modern rock, progressive atmospheres, industrial edges, funk-leaning grooves, and hypnotic sound design — each track pushing into new territory while retaining the project’s unmistakable energy. New releases will follow throughout the next three months as the project continues its steady momentum.

ARTIST BIO

Almost Alive is a modern rock project created by New Jersey artist and producer Evan Kanter, blending thunderous guitars, driving drums, and gritty, expressive vocals with cutting-edge AI production. Built from Evan’s deep passion for technology and emotional, hard-hitting rock, Almost Alive blurs the lines between human creativity and machine innovation — a project where instinct and algorithm shape the sound side by side.

With a sonic range spanning hard-edged modern rock, melodic alternative, industrial textures, funk-driven rhythms, and hypnotic cinematic soundscapes, Almost Alive has carved out a recognisable artistic identity defined by intensity, clarity, and fearless experimentation. The debut album ‘Full Blast’ marked a powerful introduction, and since then, Almost Alive has released a steady stream of genre-pushing singles that continue to expand its reach.

The project has seen consistent growth across Spotify, rising saves, streams, and repeat listeners, plus placements on both independent and algorithmic playlists — further cementing Almost Alive as one of rock’s most innovative new AI-assisted voices.

Outside of music, Evan is deeply connected to technology, visual design, gaming, futuristic storytelling, staying active, and being a dedicated father — all of which shape the creative identity of Almost Alive and its forward-thinking approach.
