‘Time’ is ticking with DallasK & Dark Heart’s new single

The multifaceted producer, writer and artist DallasK has teamed up with LA based Dark Heart for an invigorating collab as they capture Steve Miller’s classic “Fly Like An Eagle” into a sweet blend of 70s melancholia and raw bursts of unadulterated 21st century electro. “Time” builds its grooves with the famous hypnotising vocals, drenching them in effects and countering them with a punchy drop and lively melodies. It’s “Time” to slip into the future with this outstanding DJ weapon, out now on Musical Freedom.

A head turning producer for the past decade, Miami based DallasK has created an inimitable sound that seamlessly traverses the realms of the Electronic, Latin and Pop worlds. Famed for his production work with A-list artists like Christina Aguilera, Ozuna, Jennifer Lopez, Fifth Harmony, Gucci Mane, Ty Dolla $ign, Lauv and many more, Dallas has an equally impressive history of releases under his artist project including collabs with the likes of Tiësto, Hardwell, Chromeo, Krewella, Adventure Club and KSHMR, with whom he released one of his biggest hits ‘Burn’. Other claims to fame include 2018’s ‘All My Life’ and last year’s ‘Try Again’ (feat. Lauv).

In a similar excursion of hot blooded electro gold, fellow LA artist Dark Heart has been dropping festival crooners for the last few years. Widely supported by top tier DJs, the music of this former Hollywood talent agent was released by labels like Spinnin’ Records, Tomorrowland Music, Selected, Smash The House, Dharma, Circus Records & Proximity.

“Time” is the much-anticipated, no-brainer collaboration between these renowned artists. DallasK and Dark Heart digest the infamous vocals from Steve Miller’s ‘Fly Like An Eagle’ with sweet sound effects, adding warm chords and delays to create a timeless 70’s feel. After percussion and uplifting crescendos take over, the record drops into a mesmerising electro groove, unleashing its energy through a relentless beat and fierce, pulsating synths.

Dallas says “My new single, ‘Time,’  is one of my favorite club records I have ever made! It came together super organically with Dark Heart, an amazing producer who I met over twitter in 2017, and this is our first collaboration coming out into the world. I had the idea for the sample so I sang it into my computer and we put together the full idea in just a couple of hours. It was super inspiring to find a drop sound that felt fresh and unique to me, so I can’t wait to hear it in clubs and at festivals all over the world.”

It’s a tasty rhythm, moving and flowing with airy melodies and punchy bass chords, building a wonderful contrast between the 70’s styled filter house and progressive-tinged electro sounds.

And Dark Heart adds “Dallas and I have been friends for a long time, no pun intended, and it felt like this one came together seamlessly. We both grew up listening to the original Steve Miller song and of course the subsequent Seal cover in Space Jam so we are thrilled to get our version out there with Musical Freedom.”

There’s enough ‘Time’ for everyone to spark up a fire, courtesy of DallasK & Dark Heart blending their productional skills to the sonic limit.
