Few artists in electronic music have maintained both relevance and authenticity across decades — but Tom Wax is a rare exception. Celebrating over 30 years behind the decks and in the studio, the German techno pioneer now releases The Future Is Now, a sprawling 21-track album arriving on May 2, 2025.
Best known for his early projects like Arpeggiators, Microbots, and the seminal AWeX anthem “It’s Our Future,” Wax has left a lasting imprint on house and techno culture. His latest body of work is more than just a look back — it’s a fearless exploration of the present moment. Combining punchy club tracks, soulful collaborations with artists like Drea Perlon and Sikøra, and thought-provoking interludes, The Future Is Now captures both the urgency and introspection of 2025.
Throughout his career, Tom Wax has worked with icons like CJ Bolland, Marshall Jefferson, and Mijk van Dijk, and has released on major labels such as Toolroom, Suara, and Bush. Yet even with over 400 releases to his name, he refuses to settle into nostalgia. Instead, The Future Is Now pushes his sound forward, staying true to the underground spirit while embracing new textures and ideas.
In a music landscape driven by trends and fast turnover, Tom Wax reminds us that some visions are built to last — and that the real future, as always, is happening right now.
