Just a few weeks ago Australian producer 1tbsp announced that he’d be giving us an eight-track album in August and with that news also came a brand-new single called ‘Sleeves Touch My Elbows’ which features a vocal sample from a song called ‘Gran remera’ by Argentinian project Mora y los metegoles.
1tbsp has another album teaser to share with us this week called ‘Circuit Current’ which is a high-energy dancefloor filler with its pulsing beats, driving percussions and a dynamic vocal which is sampled from a song called ‘Pious Eyes’ by Australian artist Oscar Key Sung.
“When I started working on my upcoming album “Mosquito Love”, I really wanted to explore mixing my passion of latin/reggaeton music with house/dance music, and basing it around my new purchase of some modular synths.
‘Circuit Current’ is one of the more modular tracks on the album which revolves around a modular jam I did with Nick Ward, as well as an old Oscar Key Sung song that I cut up.
‘Circuit Current’ feels like a big collage of sounds which I got to somehow all work together after a lot of arranging” ~ 1tbsp
