1tbsp – Hotel Living EP

Over the past few months, Australian producer/DJ 1tbsp has been steadily building anticipation for his latest ep with a string of irresistible singles. Now, the wait is over as he proudly unveils the full Hotel Living EP, a vibrant and eclectic collection of tracks that push the boundaries of electronic music.

Following the successful releases of Wet Peak Stars (feat. Meth Math)Rush (Missing Out On Me) (feat. cherry chola & Purient), and Isso (feat. MC Pânico), 1tbsp delivers three brand new tracks that complete the story with Dolly Destructiva (feat. cherry chola), It Hurts So Bad (feat. DJ ADHD), and Rosas Y Besitos (feat. cherry chola).

Hotel Living EP is a colourful sonic journey that fuses the energy of club music with a playful Latin-American flair. 1tbsp skilfully balances underground textures with infectious pop sensibilities, crafting tracks that are as danceable as they are innovative. From sweaty dancefloors to late-night headphone sessions, this EP is a testament to 1tbsp’s genre-fluid approach and his knack for creating music that connects across cultures and scenes.

“Hotel Living feels like a zeroed in extension to my previous release Megacity1000. I wanted to find a concept that still had the busy-ness and variety of a city but could exist within a room, and hotel living came to mind. Unexpectedly, all the songs are very upbeat and to me feel like this mix between sensitivity and rushing.

The process was similar to how I always work. I make hundreds of sketches, usually a few a day, until some start to stand out. Also in DJing, I like to explore sounds that might influence my production, and I started to incorporate some old French house music that I listened to as a teenager. I think that really came through in the EP. I worked with Cherry Chola on three of the six songs, she’s become one of my favourite people to make songs with.” ~ 1tbsp

1tbsp also has a bunch of shows happening across North America, UK and Spain over the next few months.
