1tbsp – Mosquito Love (LP)

1tbsp is an indie-dance/house project from Australian Grammy Award Nominated artist Maxwell Byrne (aka Golden Vessel), which has a sound that can be likened to a mix between Daphni (aka Caribou), Four Tet and DJ Koze.

Over the last few months 1tbsp has given us a few excellent new singles – Sleeves Touch My Elbows, Circuit Current & Best of Me – which also came with news of the project’s upcoming album “Mosquito Love”.

Maxwell is excited to be sharing that album with us all this week and it is an exceptional eight-track collection of his experimental indie-dance/house sound & style.

Alongside the above-mentioned singles, the album also boasts four more previously unheard gems; Sour Berry, Material Boy and the album title-track Mosquito, which actually comes in two equally impressive parts, pt.1 & pt.2.

“I made Mosquito Love over the last 6 months and it’s my first album as 1tbsp. Two things really inspired the direction of the album: over the last year I really got into reggaeton & Latin music, and I finally made the leap and bought some modular synths. I wanted to try and combine the two on this album.” ~ 1tbsp

North American fans can catch 1tbsp touring throughout October/November while Australian fans can catch him at BIGSOUND in Brisbane on September 2nd & 3^rd, as well as the Listen Out festival tour that will be taking place in Brisbane, Perth, Melbourne & Sydney this September – check out the dates, locations & ticketing info below!
