3 weeks to go until 2manydjs at Brixton Electric.

Only 3 weeks to go until Legendary Belgian production and DJ duo 2ManyDJs take to Electric Brixton this Spring for one of their biggest London shows to date, joined by Lindstrom + Rahaan + Raw Silk

From politically incorrect prog-rock to funky r&b, from trendy hip-trop to banging German techno: if it gets a crowd going, the Dewaele brothers, aka 2ManyDJs, have it in their record collection. The duo bring the party to Electric Brixton this Spring for a very special night.

2ManyDJs have experienced massive success under various guises over the years; fans of quality left-of-centre rock music will also know the DJs as the band, Soulwax. As label owners, they rep record label Deewee and are the co-creators of concept-bending Despacio sound-system, with LCD Soundsystem’s frontman James Murphy.

The brothers have also produced some of the most epic remixes of our time for the likes of: Tame Impala, Hot Chip, and Arcade Fire and many others. They have toured the globe extensively, appearing on big festival bills and hosting headline shows, much to the delight of their international army of fans.

Back in 1999, David and Stephen started a DJ-show on Belgian national radio, called ‘Hang The DJ’, where they did exactly that. Years before bootlegging reached the trendy pages of The Face, they were already making their own mixes for inclusion on the show. Inspired by the philosophy of one Grandmaster Flash, they cut together the best bits of funky tracks into an even funkier mix. It was then that classic mixes of Blackstreet with Grandmaster Flash, Beck with Prodigy and Beastie Boys vs. Herbie Hancock with INXS vs. AC/DC saw the light of day.

After having wooed Belgian and Dutch crowds for a few years with these eclectic sets, they went on to impress the London scene. Stephen and David immediately raised quite a few eyebrows with sparkling sets for London’s independent radio station XFM, national institution BBC Radio 1 and appearances at the renowned Trash nights and Arthur Baker’s Sunday Sessions in The Elbow Room.

It’s London’s Electric Brixton that 2ManyDJs will bring the party back to in April… Expect music that covers the left, right, top and bottom of groovy pop, disco and everything in between – this promises to be an unmissable show.
