Lauded newcomer Sonnee drops ‘Your Love’ debut EP – Out Now on Attack Decay Sweet Release
Sonnee drops the title track from his debut EP ‘Your Love’, out now on hot new imprint Attack Decay Sweet Release.
Still in his early-20s, Sonnee recently relocated from Manchester to London where he is confidently forging an exciting musical path, with enthusiastic support from luminaries and listeners alike.
‘Your Love’’s ambient soundscape was captured on a portable sound recorder. The feeling of the city bustles through the track, as the melodic percussion is immersed in foley from the capital’s nightscape.
‘I wrote ‘Your Love’ when everything in my life was changing: jobs, relationships, and cities. The sirens throughout that track, I recorded on my first day in London. Major city vibes.’
Beginning with sparse trepidation, the song gradually wraps warmth around the listener, as the vocals urge you ‘keep holding onto me’: as Sonnee explains, ‘holding onto what feels right and the excitement that comes with that. The line ‘step into the light’ is, for me, about the feeling of ease when you know the other person feels the same.’
The new release follows ‘Leave The Water Still’, the impressive opening track which earned Jaguar’s ‘Dance Floor Moment’ on BBC Radio 1, support across DSPs, and saw remixes from international newcomer Katta Lily. Sonnee’s emotive second track from his debut EP project is on new label Attack Decay Sweet Release from the management team behind Model Man and Lawrence Hart.
