Aistis ‘Clay’ – out now!

Presenting, Clay, an 11-song alternative folk album that came to be during the completion of Lithuanian-Canadian musician Aistis’s next release, Caviar For Seagulls. This anthology presents a character enmeshed in love complications by fusing fact and fiction in a highly intimate analysis of the cyclical nature of complex relationships.

Clay, captures the concept of letting go of a lover only to be attracted back with its unique song structures and erratic rhythm. According to Aistis, “Navigating a confusing and beautiful relationship became the starting point for Clay. Blending reality with intentional fiction, the album explores love, hypocrisy, self-reflection, and beauty.”

Songs such as “Thought It Over (And I Think You Should Move On)” eloquently convey the pain of letting go, while “Lilac Perfume” provides a sensual respite. The album ends with the title tune, “Clay,” a moving piano ballad that emphasises how love is flexible, and “The Mouse In The Kitchen,” a quiet lullaby.

Aistis finds inspiration from storytellers like Leonard Cohen and is well-known for his rich lyrics and atmospheric soundscapes. Clay, upends traditional storylines by offering an open examination of love and identity, enhancing Aistis’s standing as a captivating and inventive artist.
