Joseph Crime ascends with progressive house gem ‘Higher’
Montreal producer Joseph Crime is pushing his sound out beyond the stratosphere with the release of ‘Higher’, bringing forth a progressive house cut with fellow rising talent lobono.
With stuttering synth sweeps shimmering through the atmosphere, ‘Higher’ seeks to build an atmosphere thick with euphoria. Reverb-soaked vocals ripple across the layers, all the while the four-to-the-floor rhythmic drive anchors the track to the floor, locking you in to a perpetual ascendency. Progressive depth, patience and precision, inviting listeners into the journey toward the sky.
He explains, “This track was born from a happy meeting of minds between me and Lobono. I started experimenting with a few ideas, and those sessions quickly turned into a harmonious blend of both our influences. For Lobono, it was a chance to explore his voice in new ways. For me, it was the perfect opportunity to reflect on the artist’s journey, a path that can be as challenging as it is rewarding.”
The Beirut-born talent is now firmly established in Montreal, carving out a niche for himself in melodic electronica. His style blossomed from classical piano training, and a string of releases and support have built steady but sure momentum in the studio and at the likes of Piknic Electronik.
