Introducing Spanish sensation Varoc through FLAMENCA Records
At just 19-years-old, Spanish electronic sensation Varoc already has the world at his feet. With not one but two national radio shows – on mega-broadcaster Los 40 Dance and iconic dance brand Ibiza Global Radio – the teenager’s reach expands far beyond his native homeland. DJing and producing since 12, he’s already performed alongside some the biggest names in dance music at events like Tomorrowland, BPM Costa Rica and Weekend Festival.
Now this wildly talented producer drops brand new single ‘Luz’, co-produced with FLAMENCA Records boss STBAN, and Furia. The single is a huge club reworking of Vinnie Dollar’s original 2023 single, which amassed over 10 million views on YouTube alone.
In this 2025 reworking the pace is turned up but the raw, Arabesque tones of Vinnie’s vocal remain just as evocative, providing a powerful backbone for the electronic elements to twist themselves around. The result is a perfect fusion of urban and electronica from Furia and youngster Varoc, with sultry shades of Flamenco House from STBAN.
With so many different genres on display it could have easily turned into a muddled, disparate edit but the flawless production is instead testament to the shared vision of all four artists. As the vocal’s sentiment transcends language barriers, its combination with instrumentation provides an organic sense of movement, a crescendo of sound and emotion that bar by bar takes the track from the town square to the global dance floor.
As the single gets its worldwide release on FLAMENCA Records, distributed by legendary UK label Toolroom Records, I House U managed to pin Varoc down, to get to know him a little better…
You’ve already achieved so many things — what has been the best moment for you so far, and why?
Throughout my career, I’ve had several memorable moments that truly felt like dreams come true since I started in this profession. I performed at Tomorrowland 2024, enjoying that incredible experience of going to Belgium and being surrounded by some of the biggest names in international electronic music. Another highlight was this summer at A Summer Story Festival, where I played in front of more than 5,000 people, fully connecting with the crowd. Just a few months ago, I had the opportunity to present my new track “Luz” at the Tomorrowland Store in Ibiza, one of the island’s most iconic venues.
Do you consider yourself more of a DJ or a producer? How important is it for DJs to produce their own music, and why?
I started performing live shows nine years ago, and I’ve been working as a music producer for the past four. In the studio, I’ve been developing a sound that truly represents me — one that helps me express my knowledge and emotions through music to the audience.
Tell us about your weekly radio show — how has it helped your career?
Very few DJs have a radio show on both Los 40 Dance and Ibiza Global Radio. This opportunity pushes me to constantly search for the best new tracks while allowing listeners from Ibiza, Spain, and around the world to enjoy my sets. It has also helped me build a strong presence on two of the most respected radio stations in the Ibiza and electronic scene.
Did you always know you wanted to be a DJ? When did you realize: “this is what I want to do”?
Since I was little, I’ve always been fascinated by electronic music and how DJs blend tracks to create a musical journey. At just 10 years old, I played my first show in a nightclub — and that’s when I knew exactly what I wanted to do with my life. Since then, I’ve been working and living for music.
Your new single “Luz” has just been released on FLAMENCA Records. Was it important for you to release a track with a label so focused on the “Spanish sound”?
I truly believe that the connection between “Luz” and Flamenca Records is perfect. My artistic vision for this track was to merge Afro House with urban vocals and flamenco influences — bringing together rhythm, culture, and emotion.
The track is a club mix of Vinnie Dollar’s emotional 2023 single — how did you approach taking such a heartfelt song to the dancefloor?
When I first heard the original version by Vinnie Dollar on the radio, ideas immediately started flowing in my mind. Later, in the studio, I experimented with several grooves I had already created — and that’s when I realized that Vinnie’s vocals fit perfectly with my style. From there, I started working on the first demo of the remix.
You co-produced the new version with FLAMENCA’s head STBAN and Furia. How is it different to create a track with three creative minds versus producing alone?
Music is energy and passion. When you have the chance to collaborate with talented artists and producers like Steban, Furia, and Vinnie, you can create true works of art. The feeling of working as a team is completely different from producing alone — especially in such a creative and emotional process.
2025 is coming to an end — what should we expect from you in 2026?
I’ve been working for years on developing a new sound — fusing genres that bring dynamism and a fresh approach to the dancefloor.
Do you have any plans to come to the UK?
I haven’t had the chance to perform in the UK yet, but I truly hope to play there soon — maybe in London or at one of its major festivals.
