Rising Folk Artist Seth Tabatznik unveils new single ‘We Are Walking Home’
Emerging London-born Folk artist Seth Tabatznik unveiled a stunning new track titled ‘We Are Walking Home’, on the 30th of January, 2026 via Moth Music (Mother Of The Heart). This year, Seth will take to the Forest Stage at South Africa’s revered Retreat Yourself Festival on February 20th, coinciding with the release of his sophomore album, Awakening Embers. Other singles off the album ‘Shining For Love’ and ‘Choose To Be Alive’ received support from tastemakers such as CLASH Magazine and EARMILK. Having only begun releasing music in 2024, Seth has already garnered over 200,000 streams across platforms and counting. His foray into the live circuit has also proven successful, with a sold-out debut performance at Boschendal Estate in Cape Town, South Africa, and a sold-out show at Green Note in London’s Camden district. Gearing up to release a second album in 2026, it is clear that Seth Tabatznik is one to watch in the Indie Folk landscape.
Raised in London and now based in South Africa’s Western Cape mountains, Seth’s artistry is deeply rooted in both place and purpose. His acoustic folk and medicine music carries a reverence for the earth, weaving soulful harmonies and heartfelt lyrics with an authenticity that bridges ancient wisdom and modern sound. Mentored by Nick Mulvey, who played a formative role in shaping his forthcoming album, and inspired by his guitar teacher Rainer Scheurenbrand, Seth’s compositions reflect a unique synthesis of guidance, lived experience, and spiritual exploration. ‘We Are Walking Home’ opens with a gorgeous flute solo that ushers in Seth’s soothing vocals, softly chanting the song’s refrain as the arrangement gradually builds, layering guitar, strings, and gentle percussion. The song kickstarts into a reverie halfway through, with an upbeat makeover of the first half featuring African-inspired instrumentation.
