Yorkshire’s longest running house music brand, Love to be… brings its next chapter to Wakefield with a takeover at Tileyard North for a special day-to-night session on Saturday 28th March 2026. Tickets are on sale now via Skiddle, with demand expected to move quickly for what marks the brand’s debut inside the venue.

Leading the lineup is Chicago house originator Marshall Jefferson. A figure who helped lay the foundations of house music in the 1980s, Jefferson’s catalogue still shapes dancefloors worldwide. From genre-defining productions to decades behind the decks, his influence runs deep. His appearance in Wakefield signals a clear intent as Love to be… steps into one of the North’s most talked-about creative hubs with a genuine pioneer at the helm.

He is joined by Tom Wainwright, long associated with the Love to be… sound and known for his driving, no-nonsense selections that lock crowds in from the first blend. Trimtone aka Love to be founders, Tony Walker and Marc Dennis, add their groove-led approach and decades of club experience, delivering sets rooted in proper house tradition. Cash Only completes the bill with a modern, floor-focused energy that connects classic inspirations with contemporary punch, ensuring the lineup moves fluidly and spans generations of the genre.

From its Sheffield beginnings in 1994 to stages across New York, Ibiza, Sydney and Amsterdam, its flagship festival in Harrogate and a globally syndicated radio show and record label, Love to be… has built its reputation on consistency and quality. Over three decades, the brand has hosted global names including Armand Van Helden, Roger Sanchez, Basement Jaxx and Sam Divine, while continuing to platform DJs who understand the culture from the inside out.

Tileyard North provides a fitting setting. Designed as a purpose-built creative space, it offers an intimate yet high-spec environment where sound and crowd take priority. Running from 3:00pm through to 11:00pm, the event transforms the site into a focused house gathering built around connection, atmosphere and eight hours of music done properly.

For fans who’ve followed Love to be… for years or those joining the brand for the first time, this Wakefield edition boasts a focused lineup, a strong room and eight hours of house music done right.
