Mason Unveils ‘Nite Rite Alpha’ As Full Moon Release Series Nite Rites Returns

By Sliding Doors Publicity March 17, 2026 2 min read

Dutch DJ / producer Mason has resurrected his uncompromising, dancefloor-focused production series, Nite Rites. The critically acclaimed series gave Mason license to put out deliberately left-of-centre music, with each release timed to coincide with the full moon and its accompanying lunar madness. Now, Nite Rites is back, with ‘Nite Rite Alpha’ and, with a nod to the original series, Mason will offer a free music gateway each time the moon is full, including a track from the series and exclusive merch. Added to this, every 4th release, an EP will be compiled and released on vinyl. ‘Nite Rite Alpha’ is available to download now from https://ffm.to/moo109.

With his formative years immersed in hip-hop, house, electro, funk and disco, Mason has made a career of ignoring trends to deliver electronic music that weaves effortlessly across genres. He is a rarity, capable of making credible underground records alongside crossover radio hits. He scored one of dance music’s seminal moments with the global hit ’Exceeder‘ back in 2006, only for the vocal version ‘Perfect (Exceeder)’ to become a global smash once again in 2024 after appearing on the Saltburn film soundtrack. This success allows him the freedom to explore his love of club sounds. He said,

“I’m excited to relaunch the Nite Rite series. A whole range of oddball club tools throughout the year – where I release whatever the heck I feel like. They’ll be on DJ stores, pay-what-you-like on Bandcamp, and each full moon I’ll give one away for free.”

Nite Rite Alpha picks up where things left off with a typically off-kilter club vibe. With a rolling bass, filtered stabs and a slightly dark, melancholic topline, this series opener is a strong signpost back to the twisted, moonlit path of Nite Rites. A limited mailout has already seen support from the likes of Jamie Jones, Chris Lake, Marco Carola, Sasha, Eelke Kleijn, Claptone, Shiba San, and Nic Fanciulli.

With recent releases on labels including Armada, Club Bad, Club Sweat, and TMRW Music, Nite Rite Alpha lands on Mason’s own Animal Language imprint, ahead of forthcoming releases that include collabs with mOat and Tensnake.

When not DJing around the world or hosting his infamous Kafe Raves parties, Mason has been busy designing and building his brand new Rekorder Studios complex in Amsterdam. With Rekorder up and running, expect even more genre-bending tunes in the very near future.
