Los Angeles Producer DENIS Unveils New Single “ritualisc.”
LOS ANGELES, CA — May 22, 2026 — Los Angeles-native Latina / Argentine Techno producer, DJ, and visual director DENIS returns with “ritualisc,” a dark, cinematic techno single featuring emerging vocalist Jeh_muh_nai, out via Ctrl: Database Research.
Built on a driving techno kick, moody tonal layers, and hypnotic percussion, “ritualisc” blurs melodic techno atmosphere with raw club pressure. Anchored by the lyric “I thought it’d feel different,” the track reflects on disillusionment from the perspective of two women of color watching promised ideas of safety, progress, and normalcy fracture in real time.
The record’s most unexpected turn arrives in a synth-infused Brazilian funk Tamborzão breakdown, interrupting the hypnotic techno framework before snapping into a harder peak-time drop. Jeh_muh_nai’s stacked vocal performance gives the track its emotional center, while DENIS layers vocal chops, ethereal textures, and percussive movement into a dark, immersive club world.
“I wanted ‘ritualisc’ to feel like the moment when the world you imagined no longer matches the world you’re living in,” says DENIS. “The track holds that disillusionment in the vocals and tension, then releases it through percussion, the Tamborzão break, and the final drop.”
