Ahead of her forthcoming RECALIBRATED: THE REMIXES, Amana Melome’ unveils a hypnotic new track, ‘Con C.Alma – the dub reggae remix’, blending conscious lyricism and soulful vocals.

International singer-songwriter Amana Melome’ ushers in the next chapter of her acclaimed career with Recalibration, a new album that signals growth, clarity, and a renewed sense of purpose. Offering fans a taste of her revitalised era, she hints at what’s to come with the track ‘Con C.Alma (Dub Reggae Remix)’, reimagined by Argentinian production duo Somos Animales.

Released via Perpetual Bloom Records, the song serves as an appetiser to RECALIBRATED: THE REMIXES, arriving on 25 September 2026, and transforms one of the album’s most introspective moments into a rich, groove-led celebration of self-trust, presence and inner peace.

Rooted in warm dub reggae rhythms and wrapped in soulful, sultry vocal textures, ‘Con C.Alma’ invites listeners to slow down and reconnect with themselves. Confidently chilled yet quietly empowering, the track

fuses reggae’s meditative pulse with Amana’s jazz-inflected phrasing and deeply conscious songwriting, creating a sound that feels both timeless and refreshingly contemporary.

“I wrote the lyrics and made a vocal sketch of the vibe I was feeling for the music,” Amana explains. “I sent the sketch to my producer Saverio Principini in Los Angeles to fine-tune and record with some amazing musicians, including acclaimed pianist Deron Johnson, in a Latin-jazz direction. I recorded the final vocals in Marbella, Spain, and for the remix, I reached out to Somos Animales in Argentina, because I liked the vibes. I sent them a vocal sketch of the reggae feel I could already hear in my head, and they delivered with their staple Dub reggae style!”

The release continues Amana’s remarkable career that bridges jazz heritage, soul, world music and contemporary songwriting. Born in Germany, raised in Italy and the United States, now based in Spain, her multicultural perspective has shaped a sound that is as globally influenced as it is deeply personal. Music runs through her family history; her grandfather, the legendary bassist Jimmy Woode, performed alongside Duke Ellington and collaborated with icons including Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Carmen McRae and Sarah Vaughan, while her grandmother was a professional jazz vocalist and her aunt, Shawnn Monteiro, remains one of today’s respected voices in jazz.

In recent years, Amana stepped back from touring to embrace motherhood and visual art, allowing space for personal reflection and creative renewal. That period became the foundation for Recalibration. ‘Con C.Alma’ extends that philosophy into new sonic territory, demonstrating how the same message can evolve through different musical languages without losing its essence.

Drawing inspiration from artists including Erykah Badu, Nina Simone and Esperanza Spalding, Amana continues to blur the boundaries between soul, jazz, reggae and global music traditions. The remix offers an inviting introduction to the forthcoming RECALIBRATED: The REMIXES, a collection of songs from her recently released album Recalibration [2026], remixed and reimagined, while reaffirming her commitment to music that inspires connection, mindfulness and authentic self-expression.

The release will be supported by a series of live performances across Italy, Spain and Portugal this October. With ‘Con C.Alma’, Amana hopes to remind listeners to trust their intuition, embrace stillness and dance through life in rhythm with themselves.
