Draymond’s ‘iceberb’ Is Made for the Underground

There’s something beautifully unpolished about Draymond’s latest cut, “iceberb”. Hazy, minimal and instantly atmospheric, the track lands somewhere between Atlanta rap, SoundCloud-era experimentation and the energy of a late-night underground room.

Moving between Los Angeles and Tokyo, Draymond has been building a sound that feels distinctly internet-native; fragmented, emotional and deliberately difficult to pin down. On “iceberb”, layered vocals and a loose, instinctive delivery sit over stripped-back production, letting the track breathe rather than forcing every moment into place.

The song came out of a particularly intense creative stretch with collaborator Scarsbleedpurple, who spent a month living on Draymond’s couch while the pair made music around the clock. Over 100 tracks emerged from those sessions, with “iceberb” becoming one of the standouts. Scarsbleedpurple’s freestyle verse only adds to the feeling that the record happened in real time.

For Draymond, it’s another glimpse into a world that sits comfortably alongside artists like Tezzus, Thouxanbanfauni, Yung Fazo, midwxst and SoFaygo, while retaining its own anonymous, fragmented identity.

There’s no unnecessary excess here; just atmosphere, attitude and enough space for the record to pull you in. “iceberb” is the kind of underground cut that feels made for discovery: understated on first listen, but increasingly addictive the deeper you get into it.
