MIOAZ celebrates its first birthday at 93 Feet East
London event and label MIOAZ marks its first anniversary with a day-long showcase centred around extended sets, community and the deeper side of melodic electronic music.
One year after launching, London-based electronic music platform MIOAZ makes their 93 Feet East debut on Saturday 26 September for its biggest event to date, celebrating twelve months of championing melodic house, progressive house and electronica while continuing to build a community around music-first experiences.
Headlining the celebration are two of the UK’s leading names in melodic electronic music, Braxton and Trilucid, each performing exclusive extended sets designed to showcase the full breadth of their sound.
A respected producer, live performer and DJ, Braxton has become one of the defining voices within contemporary melodic house through acclaimed releases on labels including Anjunadeep, Cercle Records and Colorize. Blending emotive songwriting with intricate electronic production, his music has earned support across the global scene while his performances are known for their depth, patience and storytelling.
Joining him is Trilucid, whose richly textured productions have become a fixture across the progressive and melodic landscape. With releases on labels including Sudbeat, UV and Mango Alley, alongside support from Hernán Cattáneo, Nick Warren and Guy J, the UK duo have built a reputation for expansive, emotionally driven sets that move effortlessly between progressive house, melodic house and deeper electronic sounds.
Rather than packing line-ups with short festival-style appearances, MIOAZ gives artists the time and space to develop a genuine musical narrative. The extended headline performances reflect the ethos that has defined the platform since its launch: allowing DJs to take audiences on complete journeys rather than delivering abbreviated snapshots.
Developing and supporting local talent is central to MIOAZ’s approach, and the anniversary line-up brings together a wider group of London-based DJs across two curated rooms, including Bertt, AKay, Andrew Hamill, Daniel D, Garth Hill, James Damian and Mars.
MIOAZ is also working to make its line-ups more representative of the community around them. As part of that commitment, the platform recently launched a search specifically for emerging female DJs, creating an opportunity for new artists to join the MIOAZ community and perform at the anniversary event. From that search, Camilla Sadaghna has been selected to open Room 1, with Claudia O opening Room 2, giving both artists a prominent role in setting the musical direction for the day.
Founded as Music In Ones And Zeros, MIOAZ was created around a simple idea: in an increasingly digital world, meaningful human connections are still forged on dancefloors. Since launching last autumn, the platform has steadily established itself through thoughtfully curated events that prioritise atmosphere, musical progression and community over headline-chasing line-ups.
That vision is now extending beyond events with the launch of the MIOAZ label, built around the same emphasis on curation, artist development and community. Three imprints will explore different areas of the MIOAZ sound: MIOAZ Released for the deeper reaches of electronica, MIOAZ Green for melodic house and MIOAZ Blue for progressive house, with the first releases set to arrive in the coming months.
The label will work alongside MIOAZ Live to give emerging artists a platform both behind the decks and through their own productions. The aim is to create opportunities for artists to develop across both sides of the platform, build an audience and, ultimately, progress beyond MIOAZ as their careers grow.
Running from 2pm until 10pm at Shoreditch’s iconic 93 Feet East, the anniversary celebration brings together eight hours of music across two rooms in an intimate setting where the focus remains firmly on the music, the artists and the people on the dancefloor.
As MIOAZ enters its second year, the event represents both a celebration of everything the platform has built so far and a statement of where it is heading next.
