San Cisco return with new single “Miles Away” and accompanying music video out now.
Miles Away is the band’s first release since Under The Light and a first look at what’s next from one of Australia’s most loved indie-pop bands.
Jordi (lead vocals, guitar) says of the single: “‘Miles Away’ is a song about being together, but alone, loving someone deeply while feeling them retreat somewhere you cannot follow. But don’t worry – it’s all wrapped up in a sugary pop song so it’s easy to swallow!”
The single arrives with a music video shot on 16mm film by filmmaker Levi Cranston. Part making-of, part performance, it moves between intimate behind-the-scenes footage and to-camera moments, with the band set up in the midst of an immersive art installation in Perth’s CBD.
The band are about to embark on their first regional run in over two years. The tour also marks a return to the stage for Jordi Davieson, Josh Biondillo (lead guitar) and Scarlett Stevens (drums, vocals), who is back as a new mum.
San Cisco are an indie-pop band from Fremantle, Australia, whose hook-driven blend of rock and alternative influences has won them a devoted fanbase through songs like ‘Awkward’ and ‘Run’. ‘Miles Away’, their first release since Under The Light, opens a new chapter for the three-piece: sugary pop, dressed up with a more sophisticated touch. UK fans were treated to a sold out tour in 2024 including Brighton, Leeds, Manchester, culminating in a packed-out London show at Electric Ballroom which had the fans singing along to every word.
