Altitude Comedy Festival Day Tickets on Sale now…
Day tickets for this year’s Altitude Comedy Festival are now on sale! Set in Mayrhofen, Austria from March 31st to April 4th 2014 this year’s festival features a veritable who’s who of the comedy world’s top acts and most exciting new stand-ups all performing in venues that give you that up-close and personal feel. From après-ski action to late night laughs, it’s the funniest show on snow, so don’t miss out.
Kicking off this year’s festival, Monday March 31st entertainment sees the Sports Bar at The Strass play host to an Après-ski Show from The International Impro Allstars featuring Steve Frost, Andy Smart, Ian Coppinger and guest. The Gala show at Europahaus will feature Altitude curator and MC for the evening Andrew Maxwell as well as gags aplenty from Tommy Tiernan, Fred MacAulay, Zoe Lyons and Joel Dommett, plus there will be the all-out action Late Show in The Arena at The Strass with a very special guest, plus Alex Edleman, Paul McCaffrey, Benny Boot and MC Damian Clark.
Celebrating April Fool’s day, Tuesday April 1st’s amusements will feature Après-ski Show action from the incomparable Luisa Omielan performing her acclaimed ‘What Would Beyonce Do?’ in The Strass’s Sports Bar, plus shows from The Jokes Thieves and special guests. And there will be more Late Show shananigans in The Arena with Zoe Lyons, Alfred Dorfer, Fred Macaulay, Paul McCaffrey, and MC Damian Clark.
Wednesday April 2nd is jam-packed with jollies from The International Impro Allstars in the Sports Bar and a gargantuan Gala Show in Europahaus featuring the Pub Landlord himself, Al Murray, with cutting edge routines from Daniel Sloss, Rob Beckett, Roisin Conaty and MC for the evening Craig Campbell. Once again Late Show action will be in The Arena at The Strass, with Craig Campbell, Daniel Sloss, Ian Coppinger, Joel Dommett and MC Andrew Maxwell. There will also be a German speaking show at The Arena earlier in the evening with Rainer Hersch, Benny Boot and guests.
On Thursday April 3rd the Bish is Back! That’s right, following Abandoman’s Moonrock Boombox après-ski show at the Sports Bar, John Bishop will make his return to Altitude headlining the Gala performance at Europahaus with sets from Nina Conti, Rainer Hersch, Benny Boot and MC Craig Campbell. Night cap comedy with The Late Show, will as ever be in The Arena with Terry Alderton, Pappy’s, Roisin Conaty, Alex Edleman and MC Damian Clark. And once again The Arena will also play host to the early evening German speaking show with Rainer Hersch, Benny Boot and guests.
Bringing Altitude 2014 to a close the final Après-ski Show at the Sports Bar will come courtesy of the The International Impro Allstars. Europahaus will see the addictive madness of Terry Alderton heading up a Gala Show that will also include Nina Conti, Abandoman, Pappy’s and MC Andrew Maxwell and The Arena will wrap things up with a very special Late Show ‘WHO’S IN THE CLOWNHOLE?’ with Benny Boot, Joel Dommett, some special guests and MC Andrew Maxwell. Legendary!
