Copy Paste Soul - After All
Jim Rivers aka Copy Paste Soul, an elusive producer from the UK has seen huge support from the likes of Annie Mac, Laurent Garnier, Claude Von Stroke, Pan-Pot, Paco Osuna, Skream and Modeselektor all within the last 24 months.
His love for Detroit techno, drum & bass and UK garage has been finely tuned into a style of broken house music that has started to turn heads in the electronic music community.
Having previously released on labels including Intec, Suara, Exploited and his very own 2Swords with a phenomenal remix from the very legend himself – Laurent Garnier. We see the producer venture into his cosmically creative mind, with his debit release on Solar Distance.
The lead track “After All” is a slowly rising synth coupled with shuffling hi hats that builds the track at an almost hypnotizing pace. The leads ambiguity and percussions simplicity keep the hypnotic theme in tack, and will accent those long nights on the dance floor.
Atmospheric “Edge” will take you where you want to go. All you have to do is close your eyes! As the synthetic frequencies layer and layer, your mind is left to wander into the vast space in which those late nights turn into early mornings.
Closing the EP, “Luck Of The Irish” instantly locks you into the groove. Heavy low end and experimental synth patterns lay the foundation, with scorching percussion and dream weaver pads bringing the dance floor heat. All in all this EP brings the deep grooves and rides in stride with the ethos of Solar Distance.
