Elliot Adamson - 6pm In Newcastle
This April, one of the hottest young talents to spring out of the Newcastle house hotbed, Elliot Adamson, delivers his very own weapon – ‘6PM In Newcastle’. Staying true to his slick production and echoing his tongue in cheek attitude, the dancefloor ready cut entices with crisp and rhythmic hi-hats riding over an off-kilter, addictive synth melody, as a playful groove laden beat takes control.
With previous releases on Hot Creations, ViVa music and Troup Records, Elliot Adamson has also gained huge notoriety with remixes of The Streets and Dizzee Rascal and early support from industry heavyweights including Eats Everything, Jackmaster, Skream and Patrick Topping.
2017 is shaping up to be a huge year for the young producer with forthcoming releases on Edible and Man Power, as well as his own vinyl imprint, Secondhand Jewellery, in the works.
The history of weapons in dance music runs deep through its many veins. From soundsystem culture’s ‘dubplates’ to House music’s ‘whitelabels’, ‘secret weapons’ have been used by DJ’s in their sets for years. When asked about his forthcoming release on the label, never one to take things too seriously Elliot stated:
"I'm a huge weapon, so I made one"
‘6PM In Newcastle’ is OUT NOW.
5% of all Weapons profits will go to those displaced by war.
