Fresh talent, next level beats, chart smashers, massive albums, epic parties, major awards: 2013 had RAM stamped all over it… And they want to thank YOU for all your support!
2013 was officially the year RAM Records released more and partied harder than ever before. Over the 12 months 114 tracks were unleashed on the label, plus 23 on their sister-label Program. The brand took also their branded bass chaos to 47 dancefloors and arenas in 13 countries… Including nine major international festivals! From London to Las Vegas, Croatia to Copenhagen RAM has dominated the dance in every possible direction. These are just a few of their conquests and successes…
Exclusive signings June Miller, Chords and Frankee ensured the RAM family’s reach was broader and bolder than ever before. Wilkinson was responsible for the only UK Top 10 D&B track of the year with ubiquitous sing-along smasher ‘Afterglow’ before unleashing his hugely successful album ‘Lazers Not Included’. Other big album highlights include Rene LaVice’s electrifying debut ‘Insidious’, Loadstar’s boundary burning ‘Future Perfect’ and Andy C’s mindblowing ‘Nightlife 6’ mix opus. With over 100 tracks it was the most ambitious release RAM has ever created and it became the label’s fastest selling album to date.
DC Breaks ‘Swag’, Calyx & TeeBee’s remix of Wilkinson’s ‘Heartbeat’ and Mind Vortex’s ‘Gravity’ all dented the Beatport D&B Top 10 for several months, while Andy C’s return to the world of production scored love on both Beatport and Radio 1 with two Hottest Record accolades from chief tastemaker Zane Lowe… Who also recognised five of Wilkinson’s tracks with the same stamp of approval.
RAM party highlights are equally endless. The brand’s Fabric residency and warehouse parties led to an epic sell out show at Brixton Academy and the RAM Christmas Party at Fabric was the London venue’s fastest selling event of the year. Festival-wise they hosted a full Arcadia takeover at Glastonbury and undertook main stage responsibilities at Outlook. One of the sexiest pool parties in D&B history came courtesy of RAM at Hideout Festival while our Paradiso event at Amsterdam Dance Event was the most hyped event of its kind during the conference.
RAM Records also picked up numerous golden victories for both the label and our artists at the Drum&BassArena Awards, National Drum & Bass Awards and DJ Mag. But you know the best success story of 2013?
RAM Records has the best fanbase in the world. None of this would have been possible without your continuous support. You understand why the label does what they do and they’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for every track you’ve invested in and every party you’ve shared with them.
2014 will be even bigger and even more ambitious: in the coming months the label will be revealing more exclusive signings and a brand new RAM website. Plus you can expect a stack of killer releases… Including a Program debut from Teddy Killerz, a RAM debut from Lynx, plus more slamming releases from Wilkinson, Rene LaVice, Frankee, Loadstar, Chords and many more.
They also have some major party designs, including appearances at We Are Fstvl, Birmingham, Nottingham, Bournemouth, Reading and beyond. The label will also be returning to electronic music’s most influential event Miami Music Week with Ramiami on March 27th, plus they’re about to reveal some hugely exciting plans in London.
