Swiss electronic duo Adriatique have united with Austrian-Swedish pairing Solique for their new single ‘Changing Colors’ featuring singer-songwriter Also Astir out now via X Recordings.
Over a sprawling 5-minutes, Adriatique and Solique let their percussive-heavy melodic techno take form. On ‘Changing Colors’, the pair of duos have beautifully balanced deeply rhythmic instrumental movements with airy backings for Also Astir’s ethereal vocals. The latest addition to X Recordings showcases the level of depth amongst the foursome as slow-burning builds turn to sophisticated breaks, keeping a steady pace to move dancefloors far and wide.
Zürich creatives Adrian Shala and Adrian Schweizer have distinguished themselves with their forward-thinking sound and pioneering artistry. For over a decade, Adriatique have garnered a reputation with their mesmerizing releases on Afterlife, Rose Avenue, and Diynamic, and remixes of RÜFUS DU SOL, and Swedish House Mafia and The Weeknd. Adriatique launched their new label imprint X Recordings in 2023 with ‘The Future Is Unknown’. ‘Changing Colors’ marks the fourth release on X Recordings, following Adriatique’s collaborative Horizon EP with Undercatt and ‘The Echo’ with The Element MT.
Based in Germany, the duo of Austria-born Julien and Sweden-born Can have gained recognition in the underground dance scene. Drawing inspiration from 90s house and techno, they’ve honed a hypnotic and introspective sound led by intricate rhythms, pulsating basslines, and emotive melodies. Their releases on Innervisions, LIFEFORMS, Applied Magic, MoBlack, and MoBlack have garnered support from acts such as Dixon, Âme, Black Coffee, and Agoria. Solique will support Adriatique at their upcoming Adriatique presents X live show at OFFSónar in Barcelona on June 13.
