Aerotronic - Aerotronic – AM:PM

Teenage Riot Records is proud to present to you AM:PM, the debut full length album from Belgium duo Aerotronic. Laurens Van Steenbergen and Jordi Moonen return post Night Deconstructions 1 and 2 to bring you 12 stellar tracks that only their personal perfected sound could deliver. The theme here is passing through space and time, and they move swiftly about this LP and encounter each moment pristinely along the way. We begin with “The Pilot”, which counts, builds, and blasts off through sonic madness into a warm, threatening rhythm. From here we travel to “Antomony”, who’s throwback melodies and synth work hide a much more severe turn. “Fooves” follows with perfect jacking drums and staggeringly crisp stabs, and they lead you to “Numb”, a sinister move with floor shattering arps. “Night Tales” is like finding out theirs an alien on this ship, and its rich, distorted bass weaves in and out like it’s been following you this whole time. “Interglow” is the moment you turn around and face this monster head on. It’s chaotic and harsh, but you never loose your step with the hypnotic percussion with you all the way. But don’t get too relaxed after your victory, the alarms have sounded in the form of “Motionbreak”, a big and bold techno punch in the private area. “Stracker” comes on like lasers to the ear sockets, with grinding synths and writhing leads. Now “Gearshift” is an absolute dancefloor filler, with a baseline that won’t stop even for a second. “Fast Forward” follows with its deep melodies and rotating drums, like a breath of smoke filled air floating in front of you. “Contemporary”, the albums first single, moves in with a menacing baseline and superb sweeps. And finally we close out with “The Saint”, a finale that suggests there was a chance for hope, but you are stuck in the deep, rich muck that has filled your shoes, joints, and ears for the last hour. This is truly a work from a duo who has decided to stand outside the trends, and it definitely shows. With superior originality and a want to only get bigger and bolder, Aerotronic’s AM:PM is ripe for a takeover.
