Flow Music is a record label from the music publication with the same name, and the imprints new release features a remix from Super Flu along with original music by Aeyem.
Aeyem who’s a multi-instrumentalist and producer from Melbourne, Australia. He is also a talented DJ who performs regularly at festivals and other large events in his home country, but this is his first official release.
The solo original “Reach the Water” also features the vocals of Lakyn whose emotive singing style pulls on the heart strings, while the melodic house/techno backing track provides a deep and pulsating groove similar to the likes of Innellea and Ben Böhmer.
German duo Super Flu deliver a stunning remix true to the immersive style they have released on record labels ranging from Diynamic and Stil Vor Talent to their own imprint Monaberry. Known for their quirky melodies and epic atmosphere underpinned by vibrant percussion, their remix on this release is another fine example of their distinctive style.
“Reach The Water” Feat. Lakyn opens with spine-tingling ethereal pads that are soon joined by the pulsating bassline which radiates warmth through the tracks. An early breakdown section introduces the sensual vocals that become the tracks defining element. Wonky and wonderful the groove is pushed forward by the pounding of the kick drum and washes in the liquid textures that add to the track’s immersive vibe.
Super Flu step up on remix duty, and their version is a deep and dirty re-tweak, utilising the original elements, but adding Super Flu’s hallmark dirty and infectious flavours. Wobbly edges meet the warmth, as a gated synth line takes control, while the vocal glides effortlessly, befire the twittery riff really takes control. Big and bold!
