French DJ and producer Agoria has unveiled the official video for latest single ‘Call Of The Wild’, featuring Philadelphia rapper STS, out 17th September.
Presented in the style of a Hollywood crime thriller, the video opens with police officers called to a disturbance in the neighborhood. From there, the fast-paced, jaw-dropping visuals complement the cold, menacing vocals of STS and the uneasy mood created by Agoria’s industrial-tinged beats.
Directed by up-and-coming director Loïc Andrieu, the visually stunning supernatural thriller stars French actress Fleur Geffrier and Agent Carter actor Carl Crupud. Exclusively shot by night in LA, the video is also framed by D.O.P Simon Chaudoir, who has previously worked with the likes of Bjork, Massive Attack and Faithless.
The single is taken from Drift, Agoria’s first album in eight years, which he described as “sitting on your sofa between your guilty pleasure and your tasteful opinion”. The deeply melodic 10-track LP came off the back of a much-lauded Essential Mix for Pete Tong’s BBC Radio 1 show, which was later nominated for Essential Mix Of The Year.
Agoria is also in the latter stages of his first ever Ibiza residency, named after the album, which has been taking place at the Blue Marlin every Friday since 31st May. Featuring everyone from DJ Harvey and Gerd Janson to Groove Armada and Idris Elba, the unique day-to-night parties conclude on the 27th September.
The captivating, Hollywood-style official video for ‘Call Of The Wild’ further cements Agoria’s reputation as one of the most respected names in dance music.
