Grammy®-nominated Swedish DJ/producer Alesso is starting to make a name for himself with his innovative and conceptual approach to music videos. Having already made history as the first artist to premiere a video via photo messaging site Snapchat with ’Tear The Roof Up’, Alesso is back to unveil a brand new video for his latest single ‘Heroes (We Could Be)’ ft. Tove Lo.
Starring Alesso and Tove Lo as themselves and directed by Emil Nava, the video follows a group of children with secret, supernatural powers who are locked up and forced to hide their true identities – until our hero arrives to set them free in emphatic fashion. Tapping into his willingness to push boundaries, Alesso’s style resonates through his videos and his live shows; recent video for ‘Tear The Roof Up’ was shot entirely in monochrome and based around the concept of Alpha and Omega and a journey through heaven and hell.
With over 2.75 million Facebook likes, 600,000 Instagram followers, and 1 million Twitter followers, plus more than 100 million combined YouTube views, 23-year old Alesso has quickly made the transition from electronic music protege to full-on global star in the world of culture and music.
Alesso’s ‘Heroes (We Could Be)’ ft Tove Lo is looking set to chart high in the UK with over 3.5 million combined YouTube/Soundcloud plays ahead of its 16th November release.
He returns to the UK in December to play shows in London and Manchester having previously sold out both venues on his world dominating ‘Uprising’ and ‘Ascension’ tours last year.
