“Tear The Roof Up,” the brand new track from superstar DJ/Producer Alesso, received it’s official world premiere tonight on Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 show, getting the ‘Future Exclusive’ stamp from the hugely influential British tastemaker.
For months, Alesso has been opening his sold-out shows and festival appearances with the track, building anticipation for its release. Finally – and with Lowe’s stamp of approval- “Tear The Roof Up” has arrived. The track will be the first release under Alesso’s freshly minted recording contract with Def Jam Recordings / Virgin EMIUK. Listen to the track here:

“Monstrous,” raves Lowe. “I didn’t make it to Coachella this year but I was streaming it like so many millions of people from around the world I clicked on Alesso’s set and he started his set with this song. It was the most ridiculous, most unifying response from about 20,000 people streaming out of this huge aircraft hanger whilst the sun was beaming down on his face and I was like ‘This is what songs like this are designed to do’.”
Alesso’s ‘Tear The Roof Up’ is an unadulterated slice of sonic euphoria. Brilliantly building from a tautly wound intro of anarchic beats into an all-out 4-to-the-floor rave smash, the track is a joyous ode to living life to the full. “I wanted to make a massive song that would literally make people want to tear off the roof,” says Alesso.
With over 3.5million followers online, YouTube views in the millions, sold-out concert and festival appearances, and collaborators and fans including the likes of Sebastian Ingrosso, Calvin Harris, Pete Tong and Avicii, the Grammy nominated Alesso – born Alessandro Lindblad, a Stockholm-born Swede of Italian ancestry – continues his path to the forefront of global dance music with the smash “Tear The Roof Up.” Stay tuned for moreŠ
