In the last 12 months alone ‘Magnum’, ‘A Night Outside’ and ‘Trancemission 2014’ have all honored VANDIT’s (and subsequently clubs around the world’s) speakers. Most recently ‘Nitro’ (8/10 – “drums you suspect could blow holes through breezeblocks” ventured MIXMAG!) took 303 to dizzying new heights.
You could be forgiven for asking where Alex finds the time! We wish we knew ourselves (we suspect he doesn’t sleeps all that much!). All that truly matters though is the mighty Mr. M.O.R.P.H. keeps on doing what he’s doing…
And he has! From his 10+ outings in 2014, there’s every chance that ‘Sacred Heart’ is Herr Mieling’s most spirited, uplifting and out-and-out floor-destroying yet!
Supplying a rapid rush of blood to the head, ‘Sacred’s beat & percussion make-up (all resounding drums, LFO flow and crisply open hi-hats) produce a platform that fair roars ‘Peak-Time’! Onto that Alex deftly drops swept FX, aerodynamic sub-melodies, echoingly delayed piano and – hanging in the background – atmospheric siren-song harmony. Easily enough to give your goosebumps’ goosebumps, he balances them with a drop that’s flush with plucked strings and long, held pad notes
The tension check is brief though. Conjuring back the swell of the sub-riff, and the power of ‘Sacred Heart’s newly introduced, super-elevating lead line, the two meet with force, floor-side producing a earth-shattering effect.
Let no clubbers’ trainer rubber go un-burnt! ‘Sacred Heart’ drops on download stores today!
