Alexander Popov collabs with Chester Young & Whiteout on anthemic new single ‘Overtaking’

Renowned producer/DJ Alexander Popov returns alongside Chester Young and Whiteout with fresh new dance anthem ‘Overtaking’, out today on 1st September.

‘Overtaking’ is a euphoric melodic techno anthem, featuring huge synth breakdowns, a soaring lead vocal and additional production mastery from fellow producers Chester Young and Whiteout. A VIP Mix will also be released alongside the original, with an energetic dance-pop feel. The track builds anticipation around Alexander Popov’s upcoming third album Reflected, out on 3rd November. Reflecting events from the artist’s life as well as the world around him since his last album Intention, which came out five years ago, the 16-track new LP is set to feature big names including Paul Oakenfold and Heatbeat.

Speaking about the track, Popov elaborates, “We first got the idea to collaborate at our Interplay show where we all played together. Chester Young found the perfect vocals and we decided to create the tune with a good vibe, to extend warm summer times even in September. Whiteout put his magic on it to give the tune even brighter colors!”

Currently finalizing his first artist album since 2018’s Intention on Armada Music, there are big things ahead for both Alexander and ourselves.

He’s collaborated with the likes of Armin van Buuren, Dash Berlin, Cosmic Gate, and played at massive festivals like Global Gathering, Dreamstate, A State Of Trance, FIFA Fest and Love Parade to name a few. In 2021 Alexander was listed in 1001tracklists’ Top 100 Producers, and in 2022 was named in DJ Mag’s Top 150 for the fifth time. Things have been great for this artist, but they’re about to get even better – and ‘Overtaking’ is just the start.
