ALMR Awards launch alongside BPM & PRO 2014

Marked Events – producer of BPM & PRO at the Birmingham NEC – has today announced that the brand new Awards by ALMR – the association of licensed multiple retailers – will launch this September alongside the brand new PRO show. Marked Events will also welcome all members of ALMR to BPM & PRO as guests.

This year the ALMR’s annual awards – formally BEDA, now Dusk till Dawn – will re-launch at the Hilton Metropole NEC. The 500 capacity event is happening on Sunday the 14th of September and is almost sold out. The ALMR is an unrivalled network of entrepreneurial retailers and industry suppliers, championing the smaller independent companies that own and operate pubs, bars and restaurants in UK. The great news is that all Dusk til Dawn attendees and ALMR members are invited to attend BPM & PRO as trade guests.

The Awards will celebrate and recognise the UK’s late night industry and as a result will bring some of the biggest club and bar operators in the UK to Birmingham. Nominees include Ministry of Sound, The Warehouse Project, Manchester 235 and Grand Union Bars. Winners are awarded for best Marketing and Promotions, Hospitality, and Entertainment. The ALMR is the voice of the UK’s late night economy, representing over 90% of the late-night licensed hospitality sector.

Marked Events’ Sales Director Mark Walsh believes BPM & PRO is the perfect venue for the industry to meet, network and do business, he says: “By ALMR members attending the show we will be bringing together the technology sector and licensees in the same place at the same time. The Bar and Club operators will see firsthand what is on offer for their venues from the best of the lighting and sound industry professionals, as well as be able to discuss and be inspired for what might be best in their venue in the future.”

“PRO is the perfect place to network as it will revolve in a hive of interaction around the Mondiale Central Bar, where you and your peers will be given an unrivalled opportunity to discuss all things lighting, audio and video technology related. Furthermore, a devoted networking hub, hosted by the Production Services Association (PSA), will allow idea sharing and the chance to meet peers in the relaxed climate of a sociable B2B lounge.”

David McHattie, CEO of the ALMR, is excited that the Dusk till Dawn event co-insides with BPM and PRO, he says: “It made sense when choosing a venue for Dusk till Dawn that it ran at the same time as such a vibrant and relevant show. Sound and Lighting is such a key factor to any late light venue and it’s great that our guests can be inspired at the show for free.”

Members and nominees who attend BPM & PRO will also have access to special hospitality which will be provided by SGM & LED Projects
