Cristoph - Alone

The release of “Alone” showcases a bold artistic peak for Cristoph.

An unquestionable stand out cut “Alone” is the vocal track of excess; striking the perfect balance and letting a bold female vocal seep to the surface.  It could have been a vulnerable moment for the young house music producer but instead it’s unashamedly found its way into even the darkest of record crates with early support from Adam Beyer.

The lead single is taken from “8-track” which hits the shelves with a full release across multiple formats tomorrow and features eight new original pieces of music, concisely mapped out as a pensive reflection of Cristoph’s career to date.

An epic heavy bodied and hedonistic track, “Alone” is eminently danceable and unerringly room filling. One of 8-track’s highlights is fast becoming Cristoph’s identifiable weapon while DJing and has already made it onto the BBC Radio 1 airwaves courtesy of an exclusive Annie Mac first play and multiple Pete Tong slots over the last couple of weeks.

“Alone” through its arpegiated warmth captures the vintage sounds of the early 2000’s progressive house scene, and the dusty record boxes of the likes of Danny Tengalia; an emotional vocal entreaty with a nary Italo undertone that guides its topline vocal closer towards early Sasha productions. The inspiration of such a timeless production approach extends to Cristoph performing with Sasha this December at Brazil’s Warung.

Cristoph will embark on a European tour to accompany the release of his “8-track” album covering some of the continents best clubbing destinations and venues such as Milan’s Amnesia and Goya Social Club Madrid as well as prolific UK event series including Manchester’s The Warehouse Project, Newcastle’s Shindig and Motion in Bristol.

The tour will also take in this year’s edition of Amsterdam Dance Event, at De Krouthmal on 22nd October.

1. Closer
2. Rapture
3. Alone
4. The Enemy Within
