Previous EP Miraculous Epiphanies (released in June, and described by Record Of The Day as having “one big, dirty electro funk groove“) introduced ALTREGO to the world, and went down a storm at this year’s European festivals – including slots at Belgian’s Pukkelpop and Rock Werchter, where ALTREGO was the only unsigned act on a bill that included Metallica, Arctic Monkeys and Pearl Jam. Musically, ALTREGO straddles the crossroads of dance funk and the dirtiest ’80s beats and basslines, all augmented with effortlessly catchy pop hooks.
