AM ONLY Presents: “The Cookout” A new weekly radio show on Sirius XM

AM Only Presents: “The Cookout,” a new radio show on SiriusXM’s Electric Area channel. The idea behind The Cookout is to provide AM Only artists a platform to expose their personalities, music and curation abilities while also providing SiriusXM a unique, new tastemaking medium.

The Cookout launches on Tuesday, July 28 at 6PM PT /  9PM ET with a special Rudimental B2B Gorgon City DJ set. In the coming weeks, listeners of The Cookout will be treated to sets from Jauz (July 5), Just Blaze (July 12) and AC Slater Presents Night Bass (July 19), to name a few.

Each artist featured on The Cookout becomes a resident “chef” for the week by offering a menu of sounds to dance music fans – some sounds familiar, some more obscure. Musically, the freedom lies within each artist. The menu changes each week and adapts fan tastes while encouraging listeners to try something new.

“We are excited to get in the kitchen with AM Only to carry this new show of the very best new Electronic Dance Music sounds from young talent. There will be much to love and nothing predictable about the play list. SiriusXM has built its Electronic Dance Music reputation on playing host to the new and the next, and we are doing that again with The Cookout,” said Geronimo, VP of Dance Programming, SiriusXM.

"We are very excited about the launch of The Cookout. For our tour marketing team, we are always looking for new platforms to reach electronic music's core audience. SiriusXM has built a very loyal listener base and it was a perfect fit to collaborate with them to develop a show that allows our artists another vertical to launch their tours or help them reach that audience with their new single, EP or album," said Sam Alpert, VP, Marketing, Paradigm Talent Agency and AM Only

As SiriusXM is a subscription service, artists are free to express themselves and play whatever they like during the show. Be sure to tune in for up-to-date news about weekly “chefs.”
