Amine Edge & DANCE Win Bass Category At DJ Awards 2016

Globe-trotting French duo Amine Edge & DANCE have capped another phenomenal year by being crowned winners of the “Bass” category at this year’s DJ Awards.  To become the cream of this year’s sub-laden crop, the men from Marseilles had to fend off the challenge of an internationally renowned group of bass-heavy heavyweights including Andy C, Chase and Status, Hannah Wants, DJ EZ and more. The guys will receive the reputable Kryptonite award at the ceremony on 3rd October, at the world famous Pacha in Ibiza.

After blazing into the hearts and minds of the international music community with a modernized twist on low-end house and booty-bass indebted four-to-the-floor, Amine Edge & DANCE have set about developing their own signature sound and are starting to show their true talent and versatility as producers. The pair have recently released a new EP, ‘FCK UR OPINION’, via independent label Desolat helmed by the legendary Loco Dice. The EP features three monster techno tracks that ooze hard bass and showcase another slightly darker side of the AE&D sound, perfectly at home on the Düsseldorf-based label.

Taking influences as diverse as ghettotech pioneer DJ Godfather and golden era hip-hop producers alike and selling out events across Ibiza, Europe and beyond, the pair have also found time to champion new and exciting artists via their burgeoning label, CUFF.  Saturday the 8th of October will see the duo bring their CUFF show to Ministry of Sound, an event definitely not to be missed.  Expect a night combined with elements of energetic house, hip-hop and techno that impeccably showcase their unique sound. The event will also see accomplished producers SION, Tim Baresko, Chicks Luv US and more selectors stepping things up in The Box.
