Analytic Records bring Colin Dale on board for their new EP!

The brains behind Analytic Records are back with their second EP! “Flying Low“… a well contrasted body of work with remixes from some incredible players in the scene. The Original has a huge stomping energy fitting for the title of the track, with both takes from the remixers on duty providing a tasteful listen in different directions.

The original mix opens as an unostentatious voxy soundscape before introducing one heck of a moody bassline. Before you know it, the infectious stabs are surrounding the listening space whilst the percussion continues to build the energy throughout this track. The vocal hook reminds you this one is deep and set to get a crowd stomping on dancefloors with the break leading you into the full groove of transient percussion, stabs & following acid patterns tightly and cleanly, this is where the track really gets into its groove.

We have been incredibly excited to announce none other than Colin Dale joining the Analytic family. He is a true pioneer in the field who has a career spanning over 3 decades! He was at the very forefront back in 1985 hosting radio shows on Kiss FM with guests including all the UR crew, Richie Hawtin, Laurent Garnier, Carl Cox & many many more. In this rework we hear what we feel is the perfect edition to have in your arsenal for when the clubs are closing and you’re moving onto the next stage of the party. Dreamy synth stabs paired with a misty vocal hook and driving bassline keep you moving with some unobtrusive percussion & wavey pads to help keep the vibe in check. A special rendition that will truly shine in those moments. We couldn’t be any happier with what the legend has done here!

Last (but by no means least) the fierce rising talent Mica joins us again after her smashing debut remix on our first ever EP – “7 Peaks“. She takes a tastefully deeper approach this time, opening with a capricious atmosphere before throwing you into the groove with a splendid sub selection. The energy stays consistent with euphoric stabs & pads twirling round your head. The intricacies in her choice of elements paint the original in a new light with the spacey & unimpeded elements letting you lose grip on reality… with the only lifeline being the stabs & continual groove of the bassline / percussion to hold onto.
