Angara Join Embassy One with New Single ‘Out at Sea’ ft. Ren Ocean

The hotly-tipped French electronic duo launch a new creative chapter with a stirring and cinematic debut release.

Rising French duo Angara unveil an exciting new chapter in their evolving sonic journey with Out at Sea – a luminous, emotionally charged collaboration with Austrian vocalist Ren Ocean, out now via Embassy One. The single marks the duo’s eagerly anticipated debut on the acclaimed Berlin-based label, opening a brand new era of creative exploration.

Blending cinematic textures with Ren Ocean’s emotive lyricism, Out at Sea captures the palpable tension between freedom and connection. Built around Angara’s hypnotic percussion and glowing melodic layers, the record feels both expansive and deeply human, as Ocean’s vocal refrain “I don’t wanna settle down” becomes a mantra for movement and surrender.

As Ocean continues, “Won’t you come there with me / Take you on this odyssey,” the track swells like a tide, carrying listeners through waves of emotion and rhythm, and by the time the chorus blooms into “Your star shines brightly over me,” Angara’s production lifts the song into something celestial: a dancefloor moment wrapped in intimacy and awe.

Speaking about the track, Angara commented:

“‘Out At Sea’ is about the memory of that first love, that first real connection you never truly forget. It’s about a feeling that once guided you, and over time turned into something else, drifting in the sea of possibilities.”

For Angara – comprised of long-time friends Quentin and Loris — Out at Sea continues their evolution as architects of emotionally resonant electronic music. Since their breakout Rwanda EP on Monstercat Silk in 2021, the French duo have built a global audience of millions, accumulating over 70 million streams and performing across Europe. Their sound lives at the crossroads of contrast: delicate and cinematic melodies woven through driving rhythms, where vulnerability meets movement. Each release expands their sonic world, yet remains grounded in feeling and story.

Ren Ocean is a Berlin-based Austrian artist known for his introspective songwriting and textured, soul-baring vocals. His music merges raw emotion with electronic fluidity – a sound explored through releases on Rose Avenue, Kitsuné, Deep Root Records, Beyond and Ministry of Sound. As a vocalist and writer, he occupies a space where vulnerability meets rhythm, and where every lyric feels like a confession whispered under strobe lights.
