The French duo blend emotional introspection with dancefloor momentum on their first official release of 2026.
Following a stunning label debut with Out at Sea on Embassy One in November, rising French electronic duo Angara step confidently into the New Year with Forgive You, a deeply emotive, club-driven cut featuring a vocal sample from acclaimed Estonian-Swiss vocalist and songwriter Ingrid Lukas. Out now via the esteemed Berlin-based label, Forgive You marks Angara’s first offering of the year and signals a refined creative direction that balances emotional depth with a heightened focus on movement and groove.
Building on the cinematic atmosphere introduced on Out at Sea, Forgive You leans further into rhythm and propulsion. Anchored by a hypnotic, forward-driving pulse, the track is designed to be felt as much as heard — equally suited to late-night dancefloors and introspective listening. Ingrid Lukas’ spellbinding vocal, sampled from her track We Are Touching Heaven, sits at the core of the production, adding a sense of intimacy and human warmth amid the rising energy.
Blending delicate melodic phrasing with a more pronounced club sensibility, Forgive You exists at the intersection of release and reflection. The arrangement unfolds patiently, drawing listeners inward before expanding into moments of euphoria, where emotional tension gives way to physical release.
Speaking about the single, Angara commented:
“Forgive You is about the moment you stop fighting yourself, the shift that opens the door to real peace, and real forgiveness for others. We wrote the track together last year, with the intention of translating that inner turning point into something you can feel in your body on a dancefloor. It came to life with the help of a vocal sample from Ingrid Lukas’s song We Are. Her voice carries a mesmerizing, almost spellbinding energy that immediately shaped the atmosphere and gave the song its emotional center.
From there, we built the production around contrast, keeping instruments and vocals intimate and melodic while pushing the groove further than we usually do.It is one of the most club-focused records we have made so far, but the purpose was never just intensity. It is a track about reconciliation, about moving from tension to release, and letting that new calm become the way you connect with others.”
Comprised of long-time friends Quentin and Loris, Angara have steadily refined their identity as architects of emotionally resonant electronic music, known for fusing cinematic sensitivity with dancefloor-ready momentum. Since their breakout Rwanda EP on Monstercat Silk in 2021, the French duo have amassed over 70 million streams worldwide and brought their immersive sound to stages across Europe. Their music thrives on contrast — vulnerability meeting propulsion — creating tracks that connect as deeply on an emotional level as they do in a club setting.
