Bringing together reggaeton and house music fans for an anthemic latin-inspired festival session of sounds and rhythms that are conquering the world right now. This is the new sound of Latinx London and all cultures are welcomed under this safe multi-layered roof.
Like a festival there’s some great Live Music sets in the Main Room from Artists such as Youtube/Spotify rising rapper, Angelo Flow; women artists A Nahomy and Georgia Scott completed by Guala and JDogg.
With an acoustic set up in the courtyard, latin food and drink specials, the Candela Sound System is sounding the alert on festival season. Tickets are released todayThursday April 27th via Fatsoma, Eventbrite, Skiddle, MOS and SEE Tickets.
Alongside the Live acts, there’s four rooms of sounds including reggaeton and all things latin-inspired and urban in Ministry’s legendary The Box; cutting edge house and tech house sounds in the Baby Box and in Room 103, it’s a Tropical Explosion playing the heritage sounds of the hispanic Caribbean such as salsa, bachata & merengue.
In the Main Room, The Box, Candela Sound System presents the new generation of home-grown artists & DJs shaping the Latin London landscape and beyond. With Live PA’s from ANGELO FLOW, GUALA, JDOGG, A NAHOMY and GEORGIA SCOTT and joining DJ Jose Luis, all the way from Brazil, the UK’s #1 Baile Funk DJ, Wilker, C Fuego – fresh from his set at the Adidas x Candela Records‘ Ldn collaboration; Jeff – one of London’s hottest Latino DJs and Friday night resident at the popular Paradise Club and one of the most exciting, charismatic young DJs on the scene Dominican-born Jovy, resident DJ at Saturday night’s roadblock party,Viva Reggaeton.
In Room 103 it’s a Tropical Explosion bringing the heritage sounds of the hispanic Caribbean salsa, bachata & merengue to new levels. Salsa and merengue were the backbone of the cultural Latino diaspora until the early Noughties. Today new generations of dancing fanatics have incorporated bachata into the mix and with some of the hypest new DJs on the block including Johnma, Kevin Rozo, DJ Frank, Jorge Devia and Diego Rocha, it’s gonna be as hot as Habana!
With Latin House trending on all music & social media platforms, Candela Records is branching out to showcase more House & Electronic sounds with House Of Candela taking over the Baby Box. Showcasing some of London’s freshest Latino DJs as well as the most exciting underground talent around, headliners include London-born Colombian rising star Ramoss; Viva House Resident DJ Cano, Myma, Marcus Bajjio, Timelvpse and Rabanne. Latin London does not get cooler than this!
The Loft’s Deep Cumbia session channels Latin America’s deeper south which has created its own sounds, mixing the hugely popular cumbia with more contemporary current music vibes. Catapulting artists like L-Gante, DT Bilardo and Dameas Gratis to massive internet fame with huge followings, The Loft is dedicated to these sounds and much more with DJ NMD and DJ DS.
