Luca Morris - Another Answer EP

France’s Electropical Record is a label for house and techno lovers established in 2009. For its latest release the imprint continues to diversify with a new EP from Italy’s long time electronic hero Luca Morris.

Morris is from Rovigo and loves Juventus as much as Kraftwerk and Depeche Mode, Italian disco and DJing. He started aged 17 and was one of the first people to start playing electronic music locally in his sets back in 1992. After playing every major local club he moved onto the world stage as well as being resident at La Scala in Padova. He’s released on the labels such as Terminal M, has had tracks on a Cocoon Heroes mix CD, counts the likes of Marco Carola and Adam Beyer as fans and runs the Polar Music label will Paul C. These three fresh cuts all showcase his ever evolving and essential style.

Things kick off with the superb ‘Givin Into Love’, a rolling tune with slick, oily bass. Atmospheric party sounds and a cleverly sampled, classic female vocal add character to the playful drums and it has a real old school feel as it snakes on and gets you moving.

Next up is ‘Spacer’, another excellent track that takes its vocals from a big old tune and reworks them with skill. They are chopped up and dart about the mix as bulky, slamming house drums grind away below. This one is designed to get ‘floors sweaty and demand people dance.

Closing down the EP is ‘Another Answer’, a darker, more driving techno tune with monstrous kicks and a warehouse feel. It has an acid bassline and incendiary, spine chilling hi hats that will create a fierce atmosphere in the club.

These are two hugely useful and characterful tracks from one of Italy’s finest producers.

Tracklist:

1. Givin Into Love
2. Spacer
3. Another Answer
