Polish artist MaJLo’s IS TIPPED FOR GREATNESS THIS YEAR and the gorgeous Another Day gets a superb new remix from Rami & Martin Gutierez this month, with Danish powerhouse disco:wax responsible for this magical meeting of minds.

Stanislaw Moniuszko’s Music Academy graduate MadJLo is an electro/indie pop producer, composer, instrumentalist, and vocalist from Gdansk, Poland. His sound influenced by a love for folk and jazz all based around traditional, acoustic instruments with the added touch of electronic tones. The common denominator connecting all these pieces is his minimalistic approach to form creating a remarkable harmonic originality to the music. 

As MaJLo revesals:" 'Another Day' is a story about a hero who decides to give up on his past life. A life full of disappointments over the people he had met on his way. These distressing events have become an impulse to pick a new road leading to different places, people, and experiences, resulting in the ultimate belief that one should not be afraid of constructive changes in life. In addition to the colorful melody, track carries a positive message, which can be a great inspiration."

Rami & Martin Gutierrez do a seriously classy job of updating the gentle acoustic vibe of the original, drawing out the little tropical tinges and adding just the right amount of chunkiness to the track. The heavenly guitar strums get an atmospheric reverb treatment, the lush piano chords are brought to the fore and warm bass and a solid beat are added to give the track a real backbone. The mellifluous vocals sound truly glorious, as does a cute whistling melody pushed deep into the atmospheric background. Subtle FX and vocal samples pepper the edges of the track and add the cherry on the cake. Mellow yet driving, it’s a sublime feel-good track.

At just 15 years of age, Martin Gutierrez has a hugely bright future ahead of him. With well over 1 million plays for his material and support from the likes of The Chainsmokers and Don Diablo, he is well on his way, and Rami looks to be a perfect sparring partner for him on the basis of this collaboration.
