ANTS Presents La Familia Opening Party

On Saturday 19th July, Ushuaïa welcomes a new clubbing movement to Ibiza. Brainchild of revered industry figures Joris Voorn and Nic Fanciulli, La Familia join forces with Ushuaïa’s infamous ANTS for their hotly anticipated opening party. This heady combination will bring some of the biggest talents in underground sound to the Island clubbing hot-spot, including Matthias Tanzmann, Uner, Yousef, SecondCity and Lauren Lane, with a back-to-back set of dancefloor magic also coming from Nic and Joris themselves.

With the concept of family at the bedrock of their ethos, La Familia exemplifies Joris and Nic’s passion and commitment to electronic music, as they are joined by friends and contemporaries from the international dance music community and respective labels Saved and Rejected. With the headline set coming from Nic and Joris, La Familia is the only place in Ibiza to catch these two heavyweights going back-to-back this season.

Ushuaïa’s beautiful poolside venue will also see sets from respected Moon Harbour head honcho Matthias Tanzmann, who has played a central role helping to redefine house and techno over the past decade with a steady string of releases and coveted residency at DC10. One of the most reliable and intuitive DJs on the scene, he is sure to bring his high-impact sound to proceedings.

Representing for ANTS is esteemed resident UNER whose dynamic approach sees him spinning tunes from up to four decks at one time, weaving powerful sets that burst with personality, always leaving a lasting impression. Saved stalwart Yousef has also become a prolific figure in electronic music, gracing stages at leading venues across the planet and cementing his own brand Circus as a premier institution for dance music.

SecondCity has roots in both Chicago and UK, fusing influences from each sonic culture to calve a distinctive sound. His sundrenched debut single ‘I Wanna Feel’ shot straight to number 1 in the UK charts notching up over 3 million plays on YouTube, with the anticipated follow-up release ‘Technique’ dropping on Saved this July 14th.

Adding LA flavours to proceedings, the fresh talents of Lauren Lane have already seen her join the Saved family and release on Seth Troxler’s respected imprint Visionquest, spurring her on to appear at lauded dance music events Coachella, Wavefront Festival and BPM to name a few. Her set for La Familia not only rounds of an exceptional programme of music, but will also mark a new chapter for the rapidly rising star.

La Familia collaborate with ANTS for a further two parties on the 16th and 30th August before taking over every Sunday at Ushuaïa throughout September.
