Brazilian imprint MEMNTGN welcome fast-rising talent Any Mello to deliver her ‘Human Being’ EP this July, backed by remixes from Stroka and label co-founder Tessuto.
Berlin based, Brazilian born DJ and producer Any Mello is quickly becoming a name of note within the ever-evolving techno landscape. Whilst still young in her solo career, her electronic music experience dates back years having been involved in the scene as a VJ before making the transition into the studio and onto the booth. Having burst on the scene last year following her collaboration with K.A.L.I.L. on Noir Music and earlier collaborations alongside leading Brazilian techno figure Victor Ruiz, the rising talent quickly caught the attention of many leading to appearances at Lollapalooza Brazil, EDC Brazil, Warung Beach Club, D-Edge and Carlos Caplocks’ infamous event series in her home nation, plus the likes of Sisyphos within the German capital, and here we see her add to that with an impressive debut appearance on MEMNTGN to deliver her ‘Human Being’ EP to close out July.
Title cut ‘Human Being’ opens the EP via a combination of hypnotic synth builds, haunting vocal interjections and menacing atmospherics, before second original production ‘I Am’ sees the introduction of blooming lead lines, tripped out vox snippets and sparse, expansive textures. Next up, the returning Stroka employs resonant core synths and soaring melodies throughout his remix of ‘Human Being’, whilst Tessuto’s interpretation pairs glitchy electronics and booming kicks to close the package.
Any Mello ‘Human Being’ EP is out on MEMNTGN on 26th July 2019.
