APE Presents… Catfish and the Bottlemen & Huge Supporting Bill

Catfish and the Bottlemen will be bringing their classic alternative rock to East London’s Victoria Park as the final stand-alone headliner to be announced for APE Presents… alongside a supporting lineup including Blossoms, The Hunna, Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, The Neighbourhood and The Amazons with more to come.

Since bursting into the public consciousness with their debut platinum album The Balcony, Catfish and the Bottlemen have grown to become the UK’s biggest guitar band to break through this decade. Their sophomore effort The Ride topped the UK Album Chart and saw them step up to true Arena status, conquering huge rooms and festival slots in the process. Next summer they come to Victoria Park for their biggest headline show to date with a huge supporting lineup in tow, they’re not to be missed.

Van McCann from Catfish and the Bottlemen says:

“This is gonna be a massive night! Doesn’t get much better than 40,000 people outdoors screaming every word you’ve written back at you! That’ll do us nicely!”

With the show set to be a who’s who of modern guitar music, the supporting lineup is suitably huge. Currently holed away in the studio working on the follow up to their number 1, Mercury Music Prize nominated debut album, Blossoms join the lineup alongside fan favourite pop-rockers The Hunna who bring their huge album 100 to Victoria Park fresh from their hugely successful UK headline tour.

Elsewhere, fresh from conquering London’s prestigious Brixton Academy, Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes promise to provide one of the most energetic, heavy sets of the entire ten days of APE. Californian monochrome rockers The Neighbourhood and indie ones to watch The Amazons also join the lineup with more names to come for what promises to be a must-visit show for any discerning fan of indie and rock.

Frank Carter from Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes says:

“Every Summer, there are a few line ups and festivals that as a band you see and just have to be a part of. All Points East, in its first year is going to be incredible.

Victoria Park in June, some of the best music in the world – and now with added Rattlesnakes. See you there.”

Matt from The Amazons says:

“We’re excited to join a great line-up of music across the festival at All Points East in May. We have a lot of memories of Victoria Park festivals in our formative years which were a massive inspiration for us. Can’t beat a festival in London too, no muddy camping!”

They join the line-up as part of All Points East, the new ten-day event which encompasses a diverse three-day music festival including headliners LCD Soundsystem, The xx and Bjork followed by a 4-day community-focused midweek programme of comedy, food, outdoor cinema and more to reflect the vibrancy of the park’s surrounding area. The event culminates in three huge APE Presents… shows withCatfish and the Bottlemen headlining the event on Friday 1st June 2018, the Saturday headlined by Ohio indie rockers The National and Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds headlining the Sunday.

Tickets for APE Presents… Catfish and the Bottlemen go on sale at 9am on 26th January from www.allpointseastfestival.com.
