Ardalan Drops New Single ‘Drip’ Featuring Goldie Gold & Sharpness via Dirtybird

Iranian-born, Cali-based producer/DJ Ardalan is back with a brand new single ‘Drip (Sweat)’ featuring Goldie Gold of The Federation and Bay Area act Sharpness out now as part of the Dirtybird’s 20th anniversary.

Created during a writing camp last year, ‘Drip (Sweat)’ marks a full-circle moment for Ardalan, who released his debut single on the label 15 years ago. Referencing the minimal hip-hop movement of the 2000s and its natural crossover with grimy house, ‘Drip (Sweat)’ exudes the Bay Area swagger and hyphy sound that has become synonymous with Dirtybird. The lyrical tradeoff between Goldie Gold and Sharpness is unmatched, showcasing their vocal chops with live delays, while Ardalan’s production is primed to get bodies moving on the dancefloor.

Born in Tehran and raised between Iran and California, Ardalan has been part of the Dirtybird crew since the early days, going from BBQ attendee to label signee. In 2010, he made his debut with ‘Mr. Spock’ alongside Justin Martin, followed by EPs like 2016’s Thunderdad and 2018’s Escapade with Walker & Royce. By 2019, Ardalan had cemented his place as a Dirtybird regular with the release of his debut album Mr. Good. He remains one of the label’s core artists, appearing on various compilations and performing at the upcoming Dirtybird Campout x Northern Nights Music Festival this July.

‘Drip (Sweat)’ arrives in the midst of Dirtybird’s Flight Week – a week-long series of events in the label’s San Francisco hometown celebrating their 20th anniversary. For the past two decades, Dirtybird has been committed to the cultural vitality of the Bay Area and beyond, uplifting the creative community and creating inclusive spaces for connection through their curated event series. Flight Week cements Dirtybird’s place in the city’s cultural fabric, culminating in their second annual Back 2 Baysics with Another Planet Entertainment at Embarcadero Plaza.
