Pickled in sadness, German duo BLYNE's new single ‘Are You Real’ sounds like it’s drowning in dysphoria, reverb and low-pass filters. A simple and effective journey through future bass, RnB and electro-pop, it blends deep ambient textures with hypnotic synths and ethereal vocals. MArking a change in direction, the pair have gone back to their roots in guitar based music, inspired by the new wave of rock infected trap music such as Post Malone, Lil Peep and Lil Uzi Vert. They had this to say:
"'Are You Real' marks the first step towards a direct, unfiltered and very personal sound for us. The writing and especially the melodies are inspired by our teenage past of growing up under the influence of guitar based rock music, whilst being merged with a modern and minimalistic beat producing approach."
