Australian producer Arky Waters makes a powerful return this week with his brand-new single “Holdin’ On”, which has him teaming up with Australian-bred/London-based artist MAMI for her impeccable voice – and it’s also the lead and title-track from his upcoming debut album.
“This release has been a long time coming. I originally sent the instrumental to MAMI, and what she wrote over it was absolute magic. The song itself came together quickly, but I spent what felt like forever fine-tuning every detail because it deserved that level of care. Drawing inspiration from Bicep, Jamie xx, and Fred again.., Arky Waters continues to blur the lines between breaks, jungle, and bass, showcasing his knack for emotional yet club-ready productions.
Following on from last year’s acclaimed “Johera EP”, this latest release sets the tone for a massive new chapter in his career.
