After winning the International Dance Music Award (IDMA) for ‘Best Global Label’ for the sixth time last year, Armada Music is effortlessly sliding into 2019 to maintain its title and further its success. The world’s biggest independent dance music label received no less than seven nominations for this year’s IDMAs, including a nomination for ‘Best Global Label’.
Next to the nomination for ‘Best Global Label’, Armada Music saw several of its artists gain a total of six additional nominations. Five-time #1 DJ in the world Armin van Buuren notched up two for ‘Best Male Artist (Trance)’ and ‘Best Podcast/Radio Show’ (A State Of Trance), while emerging superstars Loud Luxury added two more to the tally in the form of ‘Breakthrough Artist Of The Year’ and ‘Best Pop/Electronic Song’ (‘Body’). Gareth Emery in turn competes with Armin van Buuren for the title of ‘Best Male Artist (Trance)’, and Australian Grammy nominees Feenixpawl are also one of the five contenders in the ‘Best Pop/Electronic Song’ category with their track ‘Neon Sky’.
As of today, people can cast their votes in 34 categories on the IDMA website. The winners will be announced at Winter Music Conference (WMC), which will take place from March 25 to March 28 at the Faena Forum in Miami Beach.
