Two formidable talents from opposite ends of the musical spectrum come together for what’s surely to be one of the biggest summertime D&B anthems this year, ‘Kaleidoscopes’. Exeter’s Audible1 teams up with folk singer Maz Totterdell for this big room rave excursion that’ll see hands in the air right across clubs and big-top tents alike.
Heavily supported for her solo debut album by the likes of Steve Lamacq on BBC6 Music and Fearne Cotton on Radio 1, Maz offers her breathtaking, ethereal vocals to seasoned performer, beatboxer come bass producer Audible1 who manages to conjure up a heavy slice of dance floor drum & bass for an aural assault you won’t forget in a hurry. Working just as well on your headphones or in the car the vocal hook’ll romance you whilst the bassline hit will entrance you, making for a very clever but soulful, mood-swinging track that should put this duo well and truly on the bass music map.
